Summer Best of Iceland – 24 Aug

Day 1 : 24 Aug |
Welcome to Reykjavik Welcome to Reykjavik - the capital of Iceland. On arrival, proceed to your hotel and check-in on your own. (Check-in time is after 3.00 pm). Later at 4.00 pm we proceed on a Guided city tour of Reykjavik. We see the old town center, the Parliament, the Cathedral, the harbour, the Pearland Hofoi house, the folk museum and the iconic. Later to the Perlan’s Wonders of Iceland exhibition with a planetarium show on the elusive, green dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis. Walk through a reconstructed Ice Cave, learn about Iceland’s glaciers in an interactive display, and see a replica of a bird cliff Overnight in Reykjavik. (D)

Day 2 : 25 Aug |
Blue Lagoon Comfort package Today, proceed to visit the Blue Lagoon. If want, you can take a bath or just have a look at this unique natural phenomenon, a visit to the Blue Lagoon is always worth it. Overnight in Reykjavik. (B, LL,D)

Day 3: 26 Aug |
Seljalandsfoss –Skogafoss - DC Plane Wreck site at Black sand beach. Today, we check-out and proceed to visit the famous waterfalls – Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Also, we’ll visit the famous DC Plane Wreck site, these are the locations where popular song “Gerua” from Dilwale was shot. Seljalandsfoss cascades over steep cliffs, which make it possible for people to walk behind the waterfall, offering a spectacular view of the waterfall itself and the surroundings. Skogafoss stands at 60 meters tall. Today, also see the Eyjafjallajokull Volcano – one of the most famous in Iceland. We continue our journey to Sólheimasandur, Black Sand Beach to visit the famous site of DC Plane Wreck, its rusting shell laying on the black sands. – these popular attractions are a must see on your Iceland south coast adventure. Day 4: 27 Aug |
Fjadrargljufur Canyon - Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon (Amphibian boat ride) - Diamond beach Today, proceed to Skaftafell National Park and visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon – a stunning sight of blue & green water full of blue, white and turquoise icebergs streaked with black volcanic ash. This has been used as a backdrop in many films like - A View to a Kill, Die Another Day, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Batman Begins and Game of Thrones to name a few. Enjoy boat tour among the icebergs on Glacier Lagoon. Later, visit the magical Diamond Beach - transport yourself to a new world as you walk between diamond-shaped ices drifted ashore from Breidamerkurjokull Glacier. Next, we see the Eldhraun lava fields - created in one of the greatest eruptions in recorded history and is of the largest of its kind in the world. Overnight in Vik. (B, PL,D)

Day 5: 28 Aug |
Golden circle Tour ( Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss) + Tomato Farm with Tomato Ice-Cream. Today, we check-out and proceed for Golden Circle tour which allows you to visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sights. We drive to the UNESCO world heritage site – Thingvellir National Park. It is the visible site of the mid-Atlantic Ridge where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Next, we see the waterfall Gullfoss which is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland and rightly so. The three-step waterfall is a part of the glacial river Hvita and falls into a 62-metre deep canyon. Later, visit the Geyser geothermal and see the active Strokkur Geyser, which shoots up a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every few minutes. Later, we visit Fridheimar greenhouse cultivation centre which is one of Iceland’s biggest greenhouses. Tomato Farm is Greenhouse farming using GeoThermal energy along with Tasting of world’s most unique Tomato Ice Cream. Next, drive to Borgarnes. Overnight in Borgarnes. (B, PL,D)

Day 6: 29 Aug |
Into The Glacier cave tour - Hraunfossar / Barnafoss - Deildartunguhver Hot springs. Today, we proceed to the Langjokull Glacier. Here, experience Iceland’s second-largest glacier from the inside and enjoy the rare sight of blue ice at the heart of an ice-capped glacier. Upon arrival, board a specially built glacier truck for the drive up to the cave entrance. Next, head inside the man-made Langjokull Glacier Tunnel which is a wonder to behold. Day 7: 30 Aug |
Glanni Waterfall - Orientation Tour of Akureyri Today, we take you Glanni Waterfalls - is a waterfall in Norðurá river in Norðurárdal close to the university Bifröst. The waterfall is rather small and the colour of the water is this white milky colour. Later we drive to Akureyri, upon arrival to proceed on an Orientation tour of Akureyri. Overnight in Akureyri. Day 8: 31 Aug |
Diamond Circle tour (Godafoss, Myvatn area, Namaskarad) Today we drive towards Lake Myvatn. En route, we visit the Godafoss falls. Nicknamed the “Waterfall of the Gods”, some believe that the name comes from the fact that the waterfall is godlike in beauty. We continue our journey to Lake Myvatn. Next,we explore the volcanic of Skutustadir & Namaskard pass to see hot boiling Mudpool. Later return back to Akureyri. Overnight in Akureyri. (B, PL,D)

Day 9: 01 Sept |
Fly over Iceland Today, we check-out and drive to Reykjavik. Later proceed to enjoy Fly Over Iceland, Reykjavík’s newest attraction which utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight.Special effects, including wind, mist and scents complete this unforgettable experience. Overnight in Reykjavik. (B, LL,D)

Day 10: 02 Sept |
Return back with pleasant memories: Proceed to the airport on your own for your flight back home. Do spare a few minutes to share your feedback with your Tour Manager.
